There are numerous Michigan colleges that offer free tuition for low income students! To be a part of these programs, you just need to be admitted into the college and meet the qualifications- no extra work is needed!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here is a list of programs Oceana County students may qualify for:<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

ALBION COLLEGE<\/h2>
\n

The Albion College Promise is exclusive to graduating high school seniors and transfer students. Albion College will cover 100% of tuition and fees for Michigan families making under $65,000 annually, after the Michigan Tuition and Federal Pell Grants are applied.<\/p>\n

Families are responsible for room and board charges; however, federal loans may be applied toward these costs.<\/p>\n

Albion College Promise is automatically applied for students who apply, get admitted, and complete the FAFSA.<\/p>\n

CENTRAL MICHIGAN UNIVERSITY<\/h2>
\n

Beginning in the fall of 2021, CMU will guarantee financial aid that covers tuition for students from families with household incomes under $50,000.<\/p>\n

This program is new and there isn’t a link available to the details yet.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

EASTERN MICHIGAN UNIVERSITY<\/h2>
\n

The Education First Opportunity Scholarship is given to students who have at least 3.0 GPA and qualify for a Pell Grant (typically for families with a household income of $50,000 or less). Students who receive the scholarship as a freshman can keep it for four years, if they continue to qualify for Pell Grants.<\/p>\n

The Education First Opportunity Scholarship is automatically applied for qualified students who apply, get admitted, and complete the FAFSA.<\/p>\n

FERRIS STATE UNIVERSITY<\/h2>
\n

Ferris Launch provides free tuition for high performing students with critical financial need. Ferris Launch awards a grant (scholarship) to students with at least a 3.0 GPA and an Expected Family Contribution (EFC) of 0.<\/p>\n

Ferris Launch grant is automatically applied for qualified students who apply, get admitted, and complete the FAFSA.<\/p>\n

GRAND VALLEY STATE UNIVERSITY<\/h2>

“The Grand Valley Pledge is a commitment to our communities.”<\/p>\n

When it comes to access to a first-class college education, a student’s family income should not be a barrier. That’s why we’ve vowed to help make a Grand Valley education accessible to more students than ever with our Grand Valley Pledge. Our new program is simple: We pledge that admitted students who meet the short list of other criteria below will be automatically awarded full undergraduate tuition and course fees, renewable for up to four years.<\/p>\n

MICHIGAN STATE UNIVERSITY<\/h2>

The MSU Spartan Advantage Program (SPAD) reduces the educational loan debt for students who are eligible to receive the FULL Pell Grant- typically families with a household income under $26,000. The Spartan Advantage Program covers tuition, room & board, and books\/course materials for eligible students.<\/p>\n

SPAD funds are automatically applied for qualified students who apply, get admitted, and complete the FAFSA.<\/p>\n

OAKLAND UNIVERSITY<\/h2>

The Golden Grizzlies Tuition Guarantee offers free tuition for incoming freshman. Students’ Expected Family Contribution must be $8,000 or less (or have a household income of $41,000 or less).<\/p>\n

The Golden Grizzlies Tuition Guarantee is automatically applied for qualified students who apply, get admitted, and complete the FAFSA.<\/p>\n

SAGINAW VALLEY STATE UNIVERSITY<\/h2>

The Cardinal Commitment provides free tuition for students with a household income of $50,000 or less.<\/p>\n

UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN <\/h2>

The Go Blue Guarantee provides free tuition for students with a household income of $65,000 or less (and assets below $50,000). The Go Blue Guarantee is for students attending U of M on the Ann Arbor campus.<\/p>\n

The Go Blue Guarantee is automatically applied for qualified students who apply, get admitted, and complete the FAFSA.<\/p>\n
