Read below for more information on Michigan Student Aid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.michigan.gov\/mistudentaid\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Click here to visit the Michigan Student Aid Website.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can create an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.michigan.gov\/mistudentaid\/0,4636,7-372-89013---,00.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">MiSSG Portal<\/a> AFTER you have submitted a FAFSA OR if you are eligible for TIP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>TUITION INCENTIVE PROGRAM (TIP) <\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Tuition Incentive Program (TIP) provides tuition assistance to students who have received Medicaid for 24 months (in a 36 consecutive month period) between age 9 and high school completion. In addition:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Student must complete the FAFSA<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Student must complete the TIP application (by August 31 of the student&#8217;s graduating year) on the MiSSG Portal or by calling 1-888-447-2687.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be enrolled in at least six credit hours at a participating location<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be a U.S. citizen and a Michigan resident<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Must begin using TIP four years after high school<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>TIP can only be used at participating Michigan colleges and universities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Phase I of TIP can be used primarily at Community Colleges for certificates and Associate&#8217;s degrees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Phase II of TIP begins once a student earns 56 credit hours and begins working towards a Bachelor&#8217;s degree. Students can be awarded up to $3,000. The scholarship can be applied to community colleges and public or private colleges. Students must:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Complete the FAFSA by March 1st<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Earn a High School Diploma or GED<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Must demonstrate financial need<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be a Michigan resident since July 1 of the previous calendar year<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-layout-5 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Other Award Programs\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ZAxwG1ALAZ4?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h.1m6ud6man96n\"><strong>FOSTERING FUTURES SCHOLARSHIP<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Fostering Features Scholarships provides tuition assistance for students who were in foster care. Students may be awarded up to $3,000 for a community college or a public or private college. Deadline for the program is June 30. Students must:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Complete the FAFSA<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Student must have bee in Michigan foster care on or after their 13th birthday<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Must demonstrate financial need<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>CHILDREN OF VETERANS TUITION GRANT<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Children of Veterans Tuition Grant provides assistance to children of veterans who are permanently disabled, missing in action, or deceased. Students may be awarded up to $2,800 and can be used at a community college and public or private colleges. Students must:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Complete the FAFSA<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Complete program specific application (on MiSSG Portal)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>POLICE OFFICER AND FIREFIGHTER SURVIVORS GRANT<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Police Officer and Firefighter survivor tuition awards of children of police officers or firefighters killed in the line of duty. Award amount varies and can be used at a community college and public or private colleges. Student must<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Complete the FAFSA<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Complete program specific application (on MissG Portal)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Must demonstrate financial need<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>MI SCHOLARSHIP SEARCH TOOL<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>MI Student Aid has a scholarship search tool for students to use as well.
